Kayla has attended both the Mansfield and Columbus Campuses and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education in 2017. She now works for The Ohio State University Mansfield as an admissions counselor and recruiter to recruit Buckeyes from all Northeast Ohio! Kayla runs all social media accounts for our alumni club including Facebook, Instagram and the Buckeye Spotlight Podcast that you can find on Anchor, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and other platforms. Kayla’s favorite parts of being involved with the alumni club is doing the social media accounts, being the podcast host and of course the service events that are done locally in Richland County like Supper on the Square. Kayla also joined the scholarship committee with our club in 2020 and loves helping plan events and design marketing pieces for the club. Kayla has also been a sustaining member since 2017.

Judy Villard-Overrocker – Treasurer

Dr. Villard Overocker received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.  I joined this club because I really felt I “bleed scarlet and gray”.  I wanted to celebrate my love for Ohio State and also help future students foster their love and appreciation for this great institution.  I love the Buckeye Bash because it brings alumni and friends together to raise money for scholarships and to have fun with the OSU/TTUN rivalry.  I have enjoyed serving at a variety of events, especially those that interact with students and alumni.  I got started when our full membership meetings were once-a-month, fun times (meetings, fellowship, yummy snacks) to say “go bucks”, but also plan activities/events that celebrated Ohio State.  I learned to know other folks who were also football fans (which I love) and who wanted to be involved with anything that had Ohio State on the title. I am married to Jim Overocker; we live in Mansfield and have five grandchildren (one more on the way in August 2020!) I’m also an Associate Professor and Extension Educator for OSU Extension for more than 33 years as well as the Alumni Club Treasurer and Bash Committee Chair. I joined this club in the early 2000’s.

Cindy Wood – Secretary

Cindy graduated from The Ohio State University, The Fisher College of Business with a double major in Marketing and International Business. Afterwards she earned her Master of Education from Bowling Green State University. Cindy served in the US Army Reserve from 1988 -1996. Cindy is the Director of Community Relations and Development at Ohio State Mansfield. Prior to moving to Mansfield in 2016, she served as the CEO of the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center of Lima/Allen County, and worked at both James Rhodes State College and the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. Currently she is a member of the Rotary Club of Mansfield and is on the board of United Way of Richland County.  She and her husband Redmond, ’85,  have three children, Olivia, Class of ‘17 and Redmond, Class of ’20,  and Ian, a current Buckeye student.

Chris Nadler – Board Member

Chris is a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University- Columbus Campus; receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree- Specializing in Finance. He is also a lifelong Richland County resident, moving back home after graduation. Chris currently works for Whitcomb & Hess- CPA’s & Financial Advisors; holding the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designations. He is very much looking forward to serving on the Board of Alumni Association of Richland County. One thing Chris loves most about being a Buckeye is the pride, the purpose and the passion in which we Buckeyes live our lives. These characteristics are ones that not only shape our Scarlet & Gray culture, but ones that make our community a great place to live and work as well. To quote our alma mater “Time and change will surely show, how firm thy friendship, O-HI-O”.  Now more than ever, this statement stands true and is why being a Buckeye is such an amazing opportunity!

Adam Molyet – Scholarship Committee Chair

Adam was born in Mansfield, Ohio and started his college career at The Ohio State University at Mansfield after winning the 2001 Full Tuition Scholarship offered by the OSU Alumni Club of Richland County.  He graduated from Ohio State in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.  Adam currently serves as the Sr. Manager of AV Technology for the Ohio State University Department of Athletics, a position he has held since 2017.  Adam also is active in the OSU Alumni Club of Richland County, currently serving as chair of the Scholarship Committee.

“I was extremely grateful for the scholarship funds I received from the OSU Alumni Club of Richland County.  They allowed me to attend OSU and graduate virtually debt free.  I was also very happy to have started my college career at OSU-Mansfield.  It allowed me to make the transition from high school to college in a smaller, more-intimate setting while adjusting to the academic and social changes of college.  Living at OSU housing near campus gave me a realistic college environment that helped make my transition to the rest of my college career a seamless transition.”
